Come As You Are

Throughout life, we encounter hurt, pain, love, joy, blessing and suffering (and so much more!). This is regardless of our upbringing and just because it's part of life, and (eventually) the consequence of choices that we make. But how we carry all that, how we deal with that, whether it's great or oh so wrong,  affects many of the next steps in our lives.
When it comes to the things that hurt - physically, mentally, emotionally, financially or even ‪spiritually - we have choices. We can deny that we are hurt and in need of healing, we can keep picking at the wounds so that they become larger and don't heal or we can not only let them heal but indeed help them heal. The healing process is ALWAYS from the inside out... even a scab on a flesh wound builds from the inside out and eventually repairs the external skin.
This is how much God loved the world: He gave his Son, his one and only Son. And this is why: so that no one need be destroyed; by ‪believing in him, anyone can have a whole and lasting life. ‪‎God didn’t go to all the trouble of sending his Son merely to point an accusing finger, telling the world how bad it was. He came to help, to put the world right again. Anyone who trusts in him is ‪acquitted; anyone who refuses to ‪trust him has long since been under the death sentence without knowing it. And why? Because of that person’s failure to believe in the one-of-a-kind Son of God when introduced to him. (John 3:16-18 MSG)
We have such an amazing, faithful, loving God who wants us to know that we ARE whole... from the inside out. He gave His son ‪Jesus to wipe away all our own tears, fears, sins, mistakes - everything bad that we have ever done or thought of doing or will ever do. He gave us His ‪‎Holy Spirit to help us, guide us and indeed heal us from the inside out. He gave us His Word - filled with ‪promises, hope, guidance and wisdom. We already have everything we need!
Let those words that Jesus spoke from the cross resonate in you today... IT IS DONE! Today, you ARE whole! Receive that!
